MY FIRST TIME VISA INTERVIEW BITTER EXPERIENCE

My F-1 & 2F-2s visas denied by an American low-cut hair guy in(Window 3) at Victoria Island, Lagos
30/12/2025
*Dependents were not asked a single question.

VO: Good afternoon

Me: Good afternoon Sir.

VO: How many schools did you applied to.

Me.: I applied to 2 schools, Alabama University and Morgan State University but.. He cuts in.

VO: of what relationship are they( dependents) to you.

Me: My spouse and my daughter.

V. O: ( He looked at my dependents and asked) This is your daughter right?
Me: Yes, sir she is.

V. O: What is your highest qualification?

Me: My highest qualification is Higher National diploma (HND) in Surveying and Geoinformatics. My academic transcript was evaluated by WES and accepted as a BSc. equivalence. I also have a professional Diploma in Surveying and Geoinformatics. I have the experience in land surveying- capturing of spatial data for engineers for road and bridge construction .

V. O: (He cuts in) Are you going for Master or PhD?

Me:: Yes.sir. This will allows me to acquire more skills and expertise... bla bla bla
(He cuts in)
V. O: When did you completed your secondary education.

Me: I finished in 1992
V. O: why the gap?

Me: After completing my secondary school education in 1992 , I was into self-employed job like poultry farming for sometime and later gained an admission into Federal school of Surveying Oyo in 2015 to 2020.
As he was asking me questions he was typing and suddenly give me a blue paper(notification )and asked me to go and read . It was a visa denial under section 214(b).

Me: No

VO: Which courses will you be teaching?

Me: I will be teaching courses on environmental chemistry like environmental chemistry of trace elements. I will be working specifically with Prof. Yong Cai..(He cuts me )

VO: I do not want to hear that at this time.

VO: How would you be traveling?

Me: Sorry I did not really understand the question?

VO: I mean which airport will you be landing in Florida?

Me: I do not know yet, but I will...(He cuts me)

VO: Where will you be staying in Florida?

Me: I do not know yet but I've established contacts with some graduate students

VO: No problem, I got you.

VO: Sorry, you did not qualify for a visa at this time. But you're welcome to reapply.

Quickie:

It is 4 am my time, the person who recommended this group for you is possibly sleeping, on shift, or knacking, but I'm here using the time to beg you guys (na me dey with una pass for this path), that if it is ACTUAL Japa (proper long time relocation) you wanna do, focus on USA, and do the right (proper application prcess) with a touch of prayers to get to visa.

Till we all possibly japa 👌
