New WhatsApp bug leaks everything that its user talk in person without user's knowledge

A Twitter engineer pointed out that "WhatsApp after getting microphone permission continuously accessing phone's mic even when not in use".

Since, WhatsApp clients are closed source so its difficult for anyone to check where WhatsApp sending all this recordings. Meanwhile, Indian IT Ministry & WhatsApp users considered this as " https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/other/whatsapp-using-microphone-when-not-in-use-company-says-it-a-bug/ar-AA1aZ3eX".

At the moment, there is no fix from WhatsApp and upon raising concerns by high profile bodies WhatsApp clarified it as a bug in Android. WhatApp already have history of branding any backdoor (a pathway to access data implemented intentionally) as bug once discovered.

Android only attach access request logs with the app it came from and there is no exception in this which clearly proves WhatsApp's claim false.

https://freenom.com/ is dead (from months) and there is no sign of life from their side, many lost their domains (even paid one), I can't help you to get your ownership back but I found some best alternatives you can use to get domains for free without any need to renew them:

1. https://eu.org/2. https://open-domains.net/3. https://js.org/4. https://is-a-good.dev/5. https://is-an.app/6. https://js.cool/7. https://nic.ua/8. https://thedev.id/9. https://domain.dee.al/I personally prefer eu.org, it requires some days to approve your domain (for free of course!) but you don't have to renew it after all!

Freenom users can still renew their domains from https://my.freenom.com/domains.php?a=renewals&language=english.

https://mega.io/ disabled their SDK page for API keys management.

After recent changes in their website & UI, MEGA disabled https://mega.nz/sdk (now being redirected to https://mega.io/developers) page for API keys management without any further notice or changelog to API keys holders.

Upon asking for further details in a https://twitter.com/BeingDrCaduceus/status/1630115153370058752, MEGA replied "After a recent change, app codes are currently no longer required to interact with our API." which is nowhere discussed in their developer docs which still making use of API_KEY.

Due to this many python libraries are archived by their owners including https://github.com/odwyersoftware/mega.py. Seems like MEGA trying to force everyone to make use of https://github.com/meganz/MEGAcmd with their program.

Free Unlimited Storage:
As of 23 January 2023, Google completely ended their unlimited storage policy for all workspace plans and now there is no more way to get unlimited or large amount of storage in Google Drive free of cost, so I made a list of alternatives that you can use to get large or unlimited amount of cloud storage for free:

1. https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/dev-program:
Microsoft 356 E5 Developer subscription offers unlimited access to Office 365 apps and provides OneDrive 5TB of cloud storage for free, in this subscription user can create upto 25 accounts and each account can have its own 5TB of cloud storage, that means we can extend it upto 125TB. This subscription get renewed automatically until you actively perform developer like activities, you can use https://github.com/TheCaduceus/Microsoft-E5-Auto-Renewal tool to keep your subscription active for lifetime.

2. https://storj.io/:
Storj is block-chain based decentralised cloud storage, it offers E2E encryption and user can upload upto 150GB of data each month, so far there is no limit on total amount of data user can store.

3. https://www.linkbox.to/:
LinkBox offers upto 50GB of permanent storage without any bandwidth limit with API support, sufficient for average users.

4. https://gofile.io/:
GoFile provides unlimited amount of cloud storage without any bandwidth limit with full API support, user can store infinite files or folder and can share them publicly without any limit on downloads. User can increase validity of their files by generating fake download request each week.

5. https://www.terabox.com/:
TeraBox users can get upto 1TB of cloud storage totally for free and can increase limits by doing in-app activities, user can share files publicly but other users will require a TeraBox account to access shared files but in return TeraBox will pay the commission to file owner for sharing files.

6. https://github.com/DvorakDwarf/Infinite-Storage-Glitch:
ISG Tool let user convert any of their files (not just videos) to upload on YouTube by converting the given data into video format, it can covert the video back to original data. Previous week, it was trending on GitHub for almost 3 days.
