Rumours say Samsung removed the ability to use Download Mode in the latest One UI 8.5 update, released this week.

We thought they literally nuked it, like they nuked all the options except three in the Recovery menu, too.

But people discovered that Download Mode is still available if you enable Maintenance Mode from Device Care.

This is their new "security" feature I guess.

Samsung is secretly blocking bootloader unlocking, nuking Recovery Mode options, and restricting Download Mode, locking down hardware at the firmware level with warranty bit checks, while Google is literally fu*king Android in September 2026 ; that was not on my 2026 bingo card.

If greedy Android manufacturers act like this, there's no point in buying an Android device, and there's no difference between iOS and Android 🤡

It's a shame I even own a Telegram community called "Samsung Tweaks" - what tweaks are there to do nowadays?

It's all boring sh*t.

This isn't a leak, but...

BREAKING: Nekogram is secretly sending your phone numbers to the developer

The backdoor is hidden in the http://Extra.java/
file, which differs from the template uploaded to the repository. The obfuscated code sends data as an inline request to the https://t.me/nekonotificationbot, leaving no trace.

To validate this, we made a PoC: an LSPosed module that replaces the bot ID and username to ours so all requests are going to it. That way, we confirmed that the phone numbers are being collected. Every. Login.

🔸Temp fix for OTG in AOSP and TWRP

echo 1 >> /sys/class/usb_notify/usb_control/usb_data_enabled
▫️Do under TWRP terminal to fix otg in TWRP
▫️Do under Termux with su to fix otg in android
▫️Need to do after every reboot.

▫️Will add permenent fix later in oss and TWRP.
