During the European Political Community Summit (EPC) which includes all europeans, not just EU
โ๏ธ 33 countries (22 of 27 in EU) signed a shared statement against illegal migration.
With new crises arising, they reaffirmed these priorities to avoid repeating the 2015 migration crisis through better preparation and coordination.
๐ The only countries missing from the statement: Hungary, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Spain.

Today, the Advocate General of the European Court of Justice (CJEU), Nicholas Emiliou, issued his opinion in the case concerning the Italy-Albania Protocol on migration management (Case C-414/25 Sedrata and related proceedings).
This opinion is not binding, but it is highly influential. The full Court will deliver its final judgment in the coming months.
โค๏ธ Meloniโs idea of repatriation and detention centres in third countries is gaining traction across Europe. A group of EU countries is already exploring similar return hubs, and the new EU Migration Pact rules (will be in force in june) are expected to facilitate such solutions.
