Charles Hatfield - The Man Who Sold Rain

Early in his career, Hatfield studied meteorology, physics, chemistry, bought chemicals, and conducted experiments. In 1902, he obtained a secret mixture of 23 chemicals that caused precipitation in the form of rain.

At first he made the usual bets. Eventually Hatfield began to sell rain for money. His fame grew and he was already contracting for thousands of dollars. In 1916, they wanted him to fill the reservoir, but at the last minute they changed their minds, the tower to make it rain was already built, and it started raining for almost a month, the dam on Lake Otay burst because of that 20 people died. Then Hatfield said it wasn't because of him, it was just a coincidence.

Whether it was a coincidence or not, Charles died on January 12, 1958, without revealing the secret formula for the powder. According to scientists, Hatfield caused more than 500 rainstorms during his career.

A giant "natural" super cube.

Who discovered America?
