Bamburi Cement turnover for FY25 grew by 13.6% YoY to KES 24.9B. Operating profit grew by a whopping 466% to KES 3.96B, while pre-tax profits surged 326% to KES 4.13B.

The cement manufacturer returned to profitability of KES 3.08B in FY25 from a KES 0.91B net loss in FY24.

Zimbabwe’s dollar-denominated exchange, the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX), has surpassed the country’s main bourse, the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE), in market capitalization.

As of mid-April 2026, VFEX market cap was approximately $3.79 billion (KES 490.1billion), while the ZSE stood at $3.4 billion (KES 439.6 billion).

The market cap surge was driven by the listing of Econet InfraCo Ltd by way of introduction on the VFEX.

According to BD Africa, Atlas Tower Kenya (ATK) is investing KES 6.8 billion (Approx. USD 53M) to build 300 new macro towers in Kenya, targeting mobile network operators such as Safaricom (NSE: SCOM), Airtel and Telkom.

The telecoms infrastructure firm plans to use part of the funds to support its green power programme which involves the large-scale deployment of solar power, battery storage, and off-grid or hybrid energy solutions.
