Today’s NFP data can bring big movement in gold and USD. Market expects lower job numbers compared to last month, while unemployment is expected to remain stable at 4.3%. If the data comes stronger than expected, USD may rise and gold can face selling pressure. But if the numbers come weak, gold may get support as traders may expect rate cuts ahead.

Be careful at the time of NFP. Logic may not work. So stay away from Gambling

Not much action in Gold right now. As expected, 4850, did play well after a nice Liquidity sweep. Day traders can look for a support around 4752-60 if the volume remains the same. Incase of a surprise drop, instead of 4760-52, 4762 may give us a 1-2 candle bounce to buy.

We shouldn’t forget today is Friday and we are discussing about Gold here. So anything is possible. If US session brings volume and the market shows correction [very much possible] we can sell below the same. The next support is around 4700. If it takes support, we can buy.

At the top, we can look for a sell around 4820 & 4832 if the market revereses before the US session [As they are minor levels]

Next big zone of sellers is around 4850-70. If the market reverses, we can sell.

As long as volume stays decent before the US session, we can expect a small bounce.

Overall bias still slightly bearish. If key levels break, downside can continue.

Market opened huge gap down due to new developments in Iran war and Strait of Hormuz. But the market doesn’t like gaps so we can see a good upside after the opening. At present, the market is facing resistance around 4730. Still some room left because to fill the gap fully, gold needs to hit 4745-50. Gold’s behaviour will be important after the gap fill.

As of now, it seems, chances of the market going above 4850 is less.

Let’s wait and watch

On lower timeframes, the market may appear to be recovering; however, it continues to lack a clear directional bias. After finding support around the 4700 level, price experienced a notable upward move.

In the event of a deeper retracement, the next key support levels to watch are 4650 and 4620. For intraday traders, the 4740 zone may act as an immediate support, particularly if any pullback occurs on relatively low volume.

On the upside, the 4800 level remains a significant resistance. The market has already tested this area twice, increasing the probability of a potential liquidity sweep on the next attempt. Therefore, short positions should ideally be considered only after such a liquidity event.

If strong price rejection is observed within the 4792–4800 range, initiating a small position may be prudent.

The major resistance and critical supply zone lies between 4840 and 4850.

GOLD

Gold is currently undergoing a technical correction, which has been uncomfortable for swing traders. However, positional traders can remain patient and continue holding their buy positions (for example, I have buys around 5200–5300), as these are longer-term investments. I am patient 😬Personally, I am also holding positions from much lower levels (3500–3800), so there is no concern from an investment perspective.

This is not an ideal market for short-term traders looking to hold positions for a few days. It is better to trade strictly based on levels and avoid unnecessary stress.

At present, the market is hovering near the 4700 support zone. I have already taken a trade here and exited. If the price drops further, we may see a potential bounce near 4660, provided the market finds support.

If the market consolidates around this zone, a slightly risky sell opportunity may appear below 4699, especially if a strong bearish (red) candle forms. However, this is risky because buyers are still active. A liquidity grab below support followed by a reversal could trap sellers.

On the upside, selling opportunities may arise around 4770 and 4800, targeting 100–120 pips, but only if the market shows clear rejection at higher levels. Avoid selling blindly.

In short, the market is highly volatile and unpredictable right now—so trade carefully and stay disciplined.

The market has opened, and the chart is still searching for clear direction. While institutions like Deutsche Bank expect gold to move above 6000 by year-end, the current situation shows some pressure on prices. This is largely due to several countries selling gold reserves to manage the ongoing oil crisis, along with weakening currencies globally. In short, the market is currently uncertain.

For positional traders, holding positions is still reasonable. However, swing traders should be cautious, as there is a lack of clear direction at the moment.

Day traders should focus strictly on key levels:

If the market breaks below 4600, we can expect a drop of 100+ pips. Selling below this level would be a reasonable approach.
Currently, volume is low. If this continues, support can be expected around the 4565–4550 zone. This is a strong area, and if price holds here, buying opportunities may arise.

The next strong support lies near 4500, although it is relatively far from the current price. If the market declines gradually, the 4537–4532 range may also act as an intermediate support.

On the upside:

4700 is a key resistance level. After a liquidity sweep, if the price falls back below 4700, selling opportunities for 100+ pips may appear.
Higher resistance levels are at 4750 and 4800, where selling pressure is likely. If the price moves above 4700 but shows rejection near these zones, short positions can be considered.

Just a quick update — I’m currently in Indonesia [Bali] and facing some restrictions related to forex trading. It seems that many forex broker websites are blocked here due to local regulations, so I’m unable to access my usual platforms or take trades at the moment.

This is not a technical issue from my side, but more of a country-level restriction. I’ll resume normal trading activity once I’m back or have proper access again.

I’m back after a one-month break and catching up on the recent moves in gold. I’ll resume regular analysis from tomorrow, but for now I need some time to observe the market and understand what it’s currently respecting—whether price action, static or dynamic support and resistance.

For today, I’m watching the 4500 level, as the chart suggests a possible further decline. If the market drops, intraday traders can consider selling below 4650. In case of a minor pullback, support may be found near 4600. If the decline is stronger, 4500 could act as a key support level, offering a potential buying opportunity.

On the upside, a rejection near 4744–4750 could provide a quick selling opportunity. For continued bullish momentum, gold needs to break above 4800.

Flexibility is everything in trading.

Most traders don’t fail because they lack knowledge — they fail because they get attached to a view. The market doesn’t care what you thought yesterday.

When gold was trading above 5000, buyers had a clear opportunity. Both positional traders and intraday traders could make money on the long side. But once the market started falling, the game changed. Day traders and overnight traders needed to shift to selling.

If someone keeps holding a sell when the market turns up again — that’s not conviction, that’s just stubbornness in disguise.

Positional traders are different. They operate on a bigger picture. For them, buying on dips makes sense, often without a strict stop loss, because their horizon is months or even years. But intraday traders don’t have that luxury — they need to adapt quickly.

That’s where flexibility comes in.

If the market breaks 5000 again during the US session, a day trader should be ready to switch back to buying. If you’re still sitting on sell just because you were bearish earlier… well, the market won’t reward loyalty like that.

And tomorrow, if price breaks 4800, you switch again — you sell.

If your logic is “I was buying yesterday, so why should I sell today?”… the market will answer that question for you — not very politely.

At the end of the day, trading is not about being right. It’s about being adaptable.

The market changes its mind all the time.
The question is — can you?
