Guys, quick question - who here actually knows what prop trading is?
And how the whole system works, where you can start with a small deposit but trade a much larger capital and keep most of the profit?

A lot of people still trade “the old way” - using their own $100–$500–$1000 accounts, trying to flip them, taking huge risks.
But the market has changed. Many have heard about prop firms, but very few really understand what it is, why it exists, and how to use it correctly.

The truth is: it’s one of the most adequate ways for a trader to grow - not by “donating to the market,” but through discipline and a proper system.

So what is a prop firm?

It’s when you trade not your own money, but the capital of a company.
You pass a small challenge, show discipline and logic - and get access to a larger account.
You take minimal personal risk, and gain the opportunity to trade money you would never gather yourself:

$25k
$50k
$100k
$200k+

Why does this even matter?

Because trading tiny accounts is a psychological trap.
When your account is $500 - every drawdown hurts.
You want to speed up, flip it, prove something to yourself… and everything collapses.

Right now I’m going through this process myself, talking to firms, studying their rules, and I want to share my experience step by step -

Liquidations doing the nasty work. Another day in the office for us. We know how this market works and that's why we need to think what's likely going to happen next, or better said... how are they going to trick us next?

So let's think, let's brainstorm... are they going to give us a clean mean-reversal from here, like a V shape recovery? Doubt it. Most likely not without some more manipulation first I'd say.

Because I'm sure that many traders are expecting that to happen (a very quick recovery) and many others will be revenge trading their losses now.
This sentiment as a whole only creates some more long liquidations of high leverage traders, leading PA to continue being choppy or even try a new small liquidity grab to stop-out those traders before finally sending price in that direction. It’s like placing a bone in front of a dog. Probably too tempting for them to resist that extra liquidity.

Jokes aside, how to react?

This is my reaction:
"Any news triggered it that I need to be concern about?" *Quick check on X... no, nothing.*
OK, then it's manipulation - we marked a couple hours ago $110.9k as a zone with liquidations and Stop losses (resting liquidity). Price hit $110.7k. Not a coincidence... I've seen this way too many times. That's why I was able to forecast this drop and opened 25% of my position there at $110.9k.

Ok, now that we know it's a manipulated move... what happens from here?
• We have a CME gap at $117k - it'll likely get filled in 1 or 2 weeks. So I'm happy to have opened that order and I'm not scared or worried since this was all planned and analysed.
• There is a long wick in 15min and 1h time frame that it'll likely get filled at least 50% of it, also matching with our main support. That's where I'll open the rest of my position if price can hold that support.

They stopped the train, to add size, to make money on the way up. They've been doing this since last week. And we called it both times.

A priori, it's all good 🤝
