Although ACI 318 has no prescriptive minimum thickness, 8 in (200 mm) is a practical lower limit for special structural walls. Construction and performance generally are imroved if wall thickness is at least 12 in (300 mm) where special boundary elements are used and at least 10 in (250 mm) elsewhere. Walls that incorporate coupling beams require minimum thickness around 14 in (350 mm) to accommodate reinforcement and required cover and bar spacing, although 16 in (400 mm) is a practical minimum where diagonally reinforced coupling beams are used, Flanges and enlarged boundary sections are helpful to stabilize boundaries and anchor reinforcement from adjacent members.

🔎 تغییر در تعریف گره محصورشده در ACI 318-25 نسبت به ACI 318-19

در ویرایش 2019، محصورشدگی گره تیر–ستون عمدتاً بر اساس عرض تیر، امتداد آن و حداقل آرماتور کنترل می‌شد (کنترل تک‌بعدی).

در ویرایش 2025، علاوه بر شرط عرض، یک الزام جدید اضافه شده است:
تیر عرضی باید حداقل 75٪ سطح حاصل‌ضرب عرض وجه ستون در عمق تیر عمیق‌تر (در جهت برش گره) را در صفحه گره پوشش دهد.

📌 بنابراین کنترل از حالت خطی به کنترل سطح مؤثر در صفحه گره ارتقاء یافته است.

بر اساس Commentary و شکل Fig. R15.5.1.1، این اصلاح در راستای تفکیک اعضای مولد برش گره از اعضای تأمین‌کننده محصورشدگی و تعیین دقیق‌تر مقاومت اسمی برش گره انجام شده است.

✅ نتیجه:
این اصلاح از نظر رفتاری بسیار معنادار است:

1️⃣ جلوگیری از حالتی که تیر باریک ولی عمیق باشد و عرض مؤثر کافی نداشته باشد.
2️⃣ جلوگیری از حالتی که عرض مناسب باشد اما عمق مؤثر در جهت برش گره کافی نباشد.
3️⃣ تأکید بر رفتار سه‌بعدی گره تیر–ستون در انتقال برش گره.
4️⃣ محدود کردن اتکای صرف به کنترل عرض تیر و الزام به تأمین سطح مؤثر در صفحه گره.

The U. S. code minimum column dimension is 12 in (300 mm), which is often not practical to construct. A 16-in (400-mm) minimum dimension is suggested except for unusual cases or for low-rise buildings.
👈 توجه نمائید که همیشه حداقل ابعاد پیشنهادی آئین نامه معیار نیست. مثلا" آئین نامه حداقل بعد ستون را ۱۲ اینچ یا ۳۰ سانتی متر گفته ولی اغلب برای ساخت عملی نیست. لذا حداقل بعد ۴۰ سانتی متر پیشنهاد شده است.

🔎 شفاف‌سازی دیوارهای فلنج‌دار (بالدار) در ACI 318-25
ویرایش 2025 مفاهیم مربوط به رفتار لرزه‌ای دیوارهای T و L شکل را به‌صورت شفاف‌تر و تصویری‌تر ارائه کرده است.
📌 شکل R18.10.6.4b
اگر در تحلیل، کرنش/تنش فشاری در فلنج از حد مجاز عبور کند، اجرای Special Boundary Element در همان ناحیه الزامی است.
یعنی Boundary فقط محدود به لبه وب نیست؛ فلنج هم می‌تواند ناحیه بحرانی باشد.
📌 شکل R18.10.6.5b
اتصال web و flange یک ناحیه سه‌بعدی بحرانی است و باید با آرماتور عرضی درگیرکننده هر دو بخش محصور شود تا از جداشدگی در زلزله شدید جلوگیری گردد.
آرماتور عرضی این ناحیه:
از باز شدن ترک‌ها جلوگیری می‌کند
از کمانش میلگردهای طولی جلوگیری می‌کند
رفتار شکل‌پذیر را تضمین می‌کند
✅ جمع‌بندی:
آنچه در ACI 318-25 اضافه شده، ارائه شکل‌های توضیحی جدید در بخش Commentary (از جمله Fig. R18.10.6.4b و Fig. R18.10.6.5b) است که نحوه تشکیل ناحیه بحرانی در فلنج و جزئیات آرماتورگذاری در محل تقاطع web–flange را شفاف‌تر نمایش می‌دهد، بدون آنکه تغییر ماهوی در فلسفه طراحی ایجاد شده باشد.
