So, a little plane it is then. The supply is only 1,000 pieces. I canāt even check how much you need to get into the top 20. 100k stars isnāt enough. Iāve got a feeling itāll be cheaper to buy one off someone later anyway.
Still, Iām not taking part in this madness, itās more like entertainment for oligarchs.
Another sad thought came to mind: whatās going to happen to the Durov figurines now? They donāt look that cool anymore. Why would you need a figurine when thereās a plane?

Overall, I actually liked the whole thing yesterday. Slick, reasonable, expensive. Pasha finally figured out how to sell a gift at the maximum price right away, instead of all those silly schemes with reselling on the secondary market for more.
This gift could potentially become the most expensive one. First, weāre unlikely to see a supply under 1,000 again. It doesnāt look very solid, considering there are a billion users. Second, itās the Telegram logo, after all. They really shouldnāt have stuck it on a little metal badge, they shouldāve put the main focus on the fact that it is the logo.
And the next auctions wonāt be nearly as sweet (for the beneficiaries). Take Khabib, for example. Heāll just get his money and go back to the gym. Those gifts are purely for fans, nothing more. Remember that wrestler in the stickers? Same story.

Well, how are you doing here without me? I got kinda tilted, got tired of writing in circles about how everything sucks with gifts, TON, and Telegram. You know this yourselves, and if you don't, you'll read about it on a bunch of similarly mediocre channels.
During my absence, absolutely nothing happened. Except that they promised to display the cost of gifts in the profile and some new sorting. The sorting sounds interesting, because in the current form I couldn't organize my collection properly. I haven't seen how it will be implemented yet, but if it's roughly like in the market, it'll do.
Also, now we'll have playlists from pirated music and display of the currently playing track in the status. You can also listen to others' playlists. Well, Snoop Dogg will be happy, the track rights holders not so much.

I'd like to speak out about the situation with TON Foundation, their plans to make their own stickers, and ScamoSanya's whining because he's being thrown overboard along with his stickers. Of course, everyone's great here.
TON Foundation announced a long time ago that there would be tokenized stickers (way before the gifts), and when Sanya started implementing them, no one from Telegram's leadership questioned this initiative. But now, when the gifts started dying off, they decided to start squeezing money out of stickers themselves.
ScamoSanya is crying that he brought a bunch of celebrities into the stickers, and no one appreciated it. Well, yeah, he did bring them, but these celebrities weren't interested in Telegram at all; they just wanted to get a bit more money to maintain their prosperous lives. In the end, all the stickers are complete crap, impossible to useāthey're just regular ad integrations that were forced on ordinary users to buy.
And as per the classic, the ones who end up suffering in this situation will be the regular users who bought this crap in hopes of full integration into Telegram and complete support from TON Foundation. I don't feel sorry for ScamoSanya; I feel sorry for the people with pockets full of unofficial stickers.

Alright, Iām back. Took a creative break yesterday. After that shift waiting for gifts, I felt some serious burnout. I got totally played. Waited and waited for those dogs, but ended up buying two pairs of Durovās glasses. The plan was to snag something super rare first, then go for the dogs. Didnāt work outādogs sold out faster.
It was a race against the clock, didnāt even have time to check the issuance. Only later saw that 5,000 glasses were sold at a high price right away to stop scalpers from profiting on the secondary market. In terms of cost-to-issuance ratio, the dogs were way better, though more of a hassle, of course. I donāt even know what to do with the glasses. Probably gonna see some Pepes, Pashas, and Elons in glasses.
Looking at the Telegram birthday gifts overall, itās clear theyāre not listening to us. Six more gifts, four of which were just thrown out there for no reason. And now theyāve announced gifts for September 1st, which are already worth skipping, because enough is enough.

Complaints are flying in that I promised to keep everyone entertained all day, but itās turned out kinda sad instead. Guys, Iām trying, but hereās the deal: I collected the full set of bears and decided to make them a sub-collection in my profile. And guess what? 69 freaking bears. Iām sure I have all 70. There are only two such collectionsāmine and Lesnikās. But his background is lame, so no biggie. So how the heck am I supposed to find one missing bear out of 70 in a collection of 800 gifts? Why the hell are there no proper filters? The marketplace has them, so why not in the profile? Anyway, Iām tilting again. And if I donāt manage to buy that damn statuette today, Iām gonna write Durov exactly what I think about this. Not that he reads anything anyway.

The new improved gifts are, overall, still the same useless junk. Someone out there bought an overpriced butt plug. Good thing with our gifts, you can use them and sell them when you get bored. In some cases, even for more.
In general, weāre waiting for the last gifts on August 14th, and then we can finally give up on them. I donāt see how this can continue without an endless price drop.
The reason for todayās hustle is Telegramās birthday. For some reason, Iām not in a festive mood at all. I feel like buying some new gifts and selling them for a profit, but celebrating Telegram for still being alive? Not really feeling it. Still, I suppose we should put on a festive showāafter all, even the worst news can be spun in a positive light.
Do I like what Telegram has become today? You could list its flaws for ages, but thereās no alternative. So, today weāre expecting gifts. All signs point to it being a Durov statuette and a Redo dog. Because if not today, then when the hell? Many didnāt sleep last night, but after midnight, people usually only celebrate New Yearās, so I preferred to get a good nightās sleep. Iām expecting the gifts closer to the evening, around 8 PM Istanbul time. Feel free to guess your own time in the comments, and weāll see who gets closest.
As for the issuance, Iām guessing thereāll be very few statuettes (1,000ā3,000 pieces) and a ton of dogs (500,000 pieces).
