Condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Abu Ja'far the Second, Muhammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him)
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the most noble of prophets and messengers, the Seal of the Prophets, Mohammad, and upon his good, pure family, and perpetual curse upon all their enemies from the first to the last.
It is narrated from our Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him) that he said to one of his companions, al-Rayyan ibn Shabib, who was among the companions of Imam al-Rida and Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon them):
He said: O son of Shabib, if you are to weep for anything, then weep for al-Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), for he was slaughtered as a ram is slaughtered, and eighteen men from his household were killed alongside him, who had no equals on the earth. The seven heavens and the earths wept for his killing.
He also said to him: O son of Shabib, if it pleases you to have a reward like that of those who were martyred with al-Husayn (peace be upon him), then whenever you remember him, say: “I wish I had been with them so that I could have attained a great success.”
We extend our deepest condolences our Master, the Imam of our time, al-Hujja ibn al-Hasan al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his noble reappearance), and all believing men and believing women on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the pious, pure, content, pleasing, reliant, chosen, purified Imam, Muhammad ibn Ali al-Jawad (peace be upon him).
We ask Allah the Exalted to hasten the appearance of the Master of the Affair and the Time, Abu al-Qasim Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Mahdi, may our souls be his sacrifice. And successful is the one who recites al-Fatiha for the souls of the believing martyrs, men and women, and supplicates for all the sick, the wounded, and those with difficult illnesses, and the relief of the distressed. And do not forget us in your sincere supplications, perhaps you are closer in rank to Allah, and conclude it with prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
