The first official improvement proposal has been published in the PirateCash ecosystem:

π The document describes how the decentralized messenger Corsa will be integrated into the PirateCash network and defines new requirements for masternodes in upcoming versions.

PIP-0001 establishes the foundation for integrating Corsa at the infrastructure level of the network.
This is not just an additional feature β it transforms masternodes into nodes of a decentralized communication system.

Starting from PirateCash Core v19:
A masternode will not start unless the operator explicitly sets:
RPC user
RPC password
RPC port
A Corsa node must also be running on the same server.
At startup, PirateCash Core only checks:
that the service exists
that it is accessible
At this stage:
service quality is not checked
relay performance is not evaluated
PoSe is not applied
This is a baseline requirement to prepare operators and infrastructure.

Starting from v20:
Masternodes begin verifying Corsa via its API using authenticated local RPC access.
Minimum checks include:

network statistics
At this stage, the service becomes observable to the network, while penalties are introduced cautiously.

Starting from v21:
Proof of Service (PoSe) is introduced for Corsa.
Masternodes will receive a score if they fail to provide acceptable service.
The proof must:
be resistant to spoofing
be tied to masternode identity
be verifiable by other nodes without trusting the operator

Masternodes evolve from simple validators into nodes of a communication layer.
Corsa becomes part of PirateCashβs core infrastructure, enabling:

What's New in v0.24-alpha
Smart Message Routing
Messages now travel through the network much more efficiently. Instead of being sent to everyone in hopes of reaching the right person, Corsa now builds a map of the network and sends messages along the shortest path to the recipient. If the direct route isn't available, the old method kicks in automatically β so nothing breaks.
In practice this means faster delivery, less unnecessary traffic, and better performance on larger networks.
Relay Improvements
When a message needs to pass through intermediate nodes to reach someone behind NAT or on a different part of the network, the relay system is now smarter. It reuses existing connections instead of opening new ones, which makes delivery more reliable β especially for users who are not directly reachable.
Network Health Monitoring
The console now shows more useful information about your connections. You can see how long you've been connected to each peer (uptime) and what protocol version they're running. New commands let you inspect the routing map in real time β helpful for understanding how your node sees the network.
Better Stability
Several improvements make the network more resilient to unstable connections. If a peer keeps disconnecting and reconnecting rapidly, the system temporarily reduces trust in that connection to prevent cascading disruptions. Invalid or malformed data from other nodes is now caught and rejected earlier, before it can cause issues.

The black mark status is issued for unfair gameplay. The specific reasons for the restriction are provided in the system message received by your account.
Your account has been restricted from participating in Swap Season 1, as it uses a limited AirDrop budget sponsored by the PirateCash project. Rewards are distributed from a pre-allocated pool, which is not unlimited, since the coin has real market value and has existed since 2018.
Abuse of game mechanics directly reduces rewards for fair players. Therefore, to ensure fair distribution, accounts that gained an unfair advantage are excluded from the current seasonβs AirDrop.
This decision is final and cannot be appealed. Violations are recorded with high accuracy, and the evidence is provided in the system message.
At the same time, you can still earn PIRATE by completing partner tasks β these are not restricted. You can also participate in Season 2, where the game mechanics will not depend on farms or multi-accounting.
