I sold 1,000 ETH in 2016 at $2.00 to pay off my car loan. I thought I was being 'responsible' by becoming debt-free. That car is now a rusted scrap heap. The ETH would be worth $3.6 million. Being debt-free feels a lot like being poor when you know what you gave up.

I traded the 'Kimchi Premium' in 2018—buying BTC in the US and selling in Korea. I got my funds stuck in a Korean bank account due to KYC laws. The money is still there. I can see it online, but I can't touch it. It's been 8 years of international red tape.

During the 10:10 Crash in October 2025, I was using 'looped leverage' on Aave—depositing BTC to borrow stables to buy more BTC. It worked great until the wick dropped 20% in an hour. I got liquidated at the absolute bottom. My 5 BTC stack, built over 8 years of DCA, vanished to pay off a loan that lasted three months.
