Why is Hyperliquid outperforming everything else?

Most of crypto is making new lows. HYPE is up 50% from its lows.

Here's what's actually driving it:

The sell pressure fear was wrong

Everyone thought $300M/month in token unlocks was coming.

Reality? January was $31-40M. February? Just $4M. That's a 90% drop.

The biggest fear around HYPE is basically gone.

HIP-3 is proving product-market fit

Permissionless perp markets are actually working.

• Open interest hit all-time highs of $935M.
• Daily volume pushing $1.8B at peaks.
• Commodities like Silver are ranking top 3 most traded on the entire platform, behind only BTC and ETH.

The protocol is buying $2-5M of HYPE every day

Around 97-99% of all protocol fees go directly into buying HYPE on the open market. That's roughly $1B annualized in buybacks. When competitors like Lighter finished their airdrop, volume dropped.

Hyperliquid doesn't need incentives to keep users.

HIP-4 could change everything

Prediction markets, options, and event contracts are all coming to Hyperliquid. This opens the door to hedge funds, options desks, and institutional players. Even modest adoption could add billions in monthly volume.

While BTC, ETH, and SOL have struggled, HYPE has outperformed all three.
