ሳራ (we were neighbours) had this ቴፕ መሳይ phone, and every time I had no school መዝሙር ክፈቺ እያልኩ እጨቀጭቃት ነበር።
Sara, who introduced me to the beauty of Afaan Oromo songs. We were around the same age, she was a little older but if you stared a little bit longer you could see the lines of aging without her will drawn on her face.

ልቧ እስኪጠፋ ነበር መዝሙሮቹን የምትዘምራቸው፣ እያለቀሰች ምናምን። እኔ መዝሙሮቹ ስለሚያምሩኝ ነበር ክፈቺ የምላት፣ the raw emotions I can hear in their voices and the melodies magical ስለነበሩ።

She barely understood Amharic and I with no knowledge of her language. ረጅም ሰዓት አብረን እንድንቀመጥ የሚያደርጉን መዝሙሮቹ ብቻ ነበሩ። Every time I come across an Afaan Oromo song, she’s all I can remember. ዛሬም ቋንቋው ሳይገባኝ፣ just the beauty making me float እሰማለሁ።

I love love honest writers. When you choose to write, a tad bit of vulnerability if not more is asked of you. ግን ከዛ ውጪ it’s about your vocabulary and how you express what you want to say. ሁሉም ኩልል ያለ እውነት አይደለም እንዲመስለን ይደረጋል እንጂ። Yes I’m very well aware fiction የሚባል ነገር እንዳለ እሱ አይደለም ነጥቤ።
አሉላችሁ አንዳንድ…their words storm to your heart and make themselves known of how honest they are. ተፈጥረው ቢመስሉም you can tell they come from the pits of the writer’s deepest corners. እኔ አልችልም እንደዛ መፃፍ or perhaps it’s something I’m learning to do. On my wrist 24/7 on duty የሆኑ ግብረገብ police officers አሉ…ኧረ እፈሪ እንደዚህ አይባልም የሚሉኝ። እያንዳንዷን ፅሁፌን እየሰነጠቁ ከዚህ ምን እንማር የሚሉ ጨቅጫቃ ተማሪዎች ደግሞ ጣቴ ጫፍ ላይ ይቆጠቁጡኛል። እኔ አስተማሪ ነኝ አልኩ? የ ተርም ክፍያ ተቀበልኩ? ልጣፍ ስለሚወዱ እንጂ። አንደኛው ተማሪ TikTok comment section’ኤ ስር “የማይጠቅመንን ነገር ባታሳዪን” ብሎኝ እንዴት እንደሳኩ፣ የሰው ልጅ አንድ label ከተሰጠው ከዚያ ውጪ መኖር አይችልም አይደል? ነውር ነው? ቀልደኞች።

ይኸው አሁንም እጅ እጄን እያሉኝ ነው፣ ምን ላስቀርላቸው እያልኩ እየተጨነኩ lmao. Go read a book or something ለዛሬ theme እና ነጥብ የለንም።
