Long week. Been playing more with AI, seeing what I can do with it.

Built a portfolio returns tracker that can help me segregate out my portfolio returns & trading returns (rarely). I want to know how my portfolio does with SGX CDP + IBKR combined.

So far so good. Kinda sad they reduced Claude's token limit back to normal. Can hit limit pretty fast doing heavy research or coding but won't be considering the more expensive models ($100 or $200 a month).

Moves:
• Trimmed UNH, mostly the shares I bought last year.
• Trimmed GOOG, becoming overweight in my portfolio (ran up more than 200%+).
• Bought VWRA & AVGS.

Yeah selling calls last week was terrible timing. As usual.

Also Sheng Siong ran up 10%+ more since I trimmed 😭😭

I managed to setup a personal assistant with Claude that can
- look through my daily to-do-list every morning
- sort out based on my schedule
- help me figure out when I should do what
- logistics required
- identify tasks it can help me with
- how it can help me
- if drafting text or email, make it copy-able within the response instead of copying the entire response
- do all of the above specific to my life context & preferences (like work hours, free time, etc).

All with one click.

Been thinking of a lot of things recently.

Wondering how sheltered we are from the progression of AI, how a lot of people are realizing how easily replaceable they are by technological advances but the healthcare industry is still quite hands on (yes the part we hate is ironically the part hard to replace) 😭

Thinking how this impacts moving out of healthcare. About how sustainable our work is. About where the direction of our work is headed in the hospital. Hospitals seem to be moving full steam ahead with the TransD thing.

Was also discussing on how something I view is a problem might not be something upper management views as a problem, and while I may not be privy to all information + it's an overly simplification of things, I wonder how much of it holds weight when it comes to our pay, manpower and workload. They have clearly been targeting QOL in small but visible ways so there's that.

Still on track for my saving goals (kinda). We will look back 10 years from now and laugh (hopefully) at the small dip / correction now.

Part of me always looks at my networth and goes - okay maybe $300k in a 5% dividend portfolio will give me $15k a year which is enough for me to travel.

But it's not enough. And dividends isn't free money so hold that thought.

Been messing around with Claude Pro ($30/month) and am blown away by what it can do currently. Trying to setup a personal assistant + see if I can integrate it into my work. Though everything you see written in long form text on my page is by me. I don't write content by AI (that's lame).

Definitely can see why fears of AI are rummaging around in work which might be a bit more menial.

If you're still slogging your ass off with patients, you're probably safe for a long while more.

Lab 6 has ended! It was a really good round, averaging about 2000~ messages / week. Lots of useful sharing and discussion but also light hearted discussions.

Lab 7 might be in April but undecided currently. Will update soon!

Not much thoughts. Angpao given and received net net, so nothing spectacular this CNY. Everyone's getting old.

Sometimes I look at the Pilates classes that offer 1-1 privates, similar to personal trainer, and wonder that it must be nice to be able to afford a personal instructor 3-4x a week (that's like $1.3-2k a month).

End of the day, quality of life and money are very interlinked. The only people who say otherwise don't pay their own bills.

Happiness is albeit different.
