From 1st April 2026, multiple major changes are being implemented across the stock market ecosystem:

1️⃣ STT increase in F&O
2️⃣ 50:50 margin requirement (higher cash needed)
3️⃣ Reduced leverage & stricter broker funding rules
4️⃣ New API trading regulations (limits + compliance)
5️⃣ Changes in broker & bank funding structure
6️⃣ Mutual Fund Rules Completely Changed (Major SEBI Reform)
7️⃣ Intraday Borrowing Rules for Mutual Funds
8️⃣ Share Buyback Tax Change
9️⃣ RBI Role – USD Liquidity / Bank Holdings

All these changes are going live on the same day, which may lead to:
➡️ System instability
➡️ API execution delays
➡️ Order rejections or mismatches
➡️ Broker-side adjustments

Advisory for Traders (Very Important) 👇

For the first 2–3 trading days (starting April 1):
✅ Trade with only 10% of your usual quantity
✅ Do very close monitoring of your trades

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE

New SEBI API Trading Rules - What You Need to Know
(From 1st April 2026)


1️⃣ What is changing from April 1st?
From 1st April 2026, SEBI has introduced new regulations for Retail Algorithmic Trading (API Trading).
👉 As per this:
All API orders must either:
► Come from a registered static IP, OR
► Be routed through a registered fintech partner (like 1Cliq)

2️⃣ Where does 1Cliq stand in this?
1Cliq is already:
► Registered Algo Vendor with NSE & BSE
► Which means we are a recognized fintech partner
So you can continue using API trading through 1Cliq under compliant structure.

3️⃣ What are the 2 allowed ways to place API orders now?
Exchanges have allowed 2 models:
✅ Option 1: Static IP Model
► You trade using a fixed (static) IP provided by 1Cliq
► All orders are routed through 1Cliq server

✅ Option 2: Broker Hosting Model
► 1Cliq system is hosted inside the broker’s infrastructure
► Orders go directly via broker systems

4️⃣ Which brokers are supported from April 1st?
Initially, we will support 8 brokers:
► Tradesmart
► Upstox
► Kotak Neo
► Zerodha
► Flattrade
► Dhan
► Fyers
► Alice Blue

👉 More brokers may be added after ~3 months.

5️⃣ Which broker uses which model?
Tradesmart → Hosting (Option 2)
Upstox → Hosting (Option 2)
KotakNeo → Hosting (Option 2)
Dhan → Hosting (Option 2)
Zerodha → Static IP (Option 1)
Flattrade → Static IP (Option 1)
Fyers → Static IP (Option 1)
Alice Blue → Static IP (Option 1)

6️⃣ Do I need to buy a Static IP?
👉 Only if your broker is under Option 1
► Static IP must be purchased from 1Cliq only
► You cannot use your own or external IP

7️⃣ Why can’t I use my own IP?
Because:
👉 Orders are routed through 1Cliq servers, not your personal internet
So only 1Cliq-approved IPs are allowed.

8️⃣ Can I use the same IP for multiple brokers?
✅ Yes - if brokers are different
🚫 No - if same broker

Example:
► 1 Zerodha a/c + 1 Fyers a/c + 1 Flattrade a/c → 1 IP is enough
► 2 Zerodha a/c → Need 2 IPs

9️⃣ Can I use this IP for other platforms?
► NO - This IP is strictly for 1Cliq usage only

🔟 What should I do on April 1st & 2nd?
For the first 1–2 working days:
👉 Please keep your broker platform (like Kite, Fyers, etc.) ready as backup
Reason:
► Even brokers are still finalizing implementation
► There may be temporary confusion or issues

1️⃣1️⃣ Are brokers fully ready for this change?
👉 Honestly, No

► This regulation was introduced in a short timeframe
► Many brokers are still unclear on exact implementation
► Industry-wide adjustments are ongoing

1️⃣2️⃣ Will my trading be affected?
► If everything works as expected → No issue
► But expect minor initial adjustments
We are actively working with all brokers to ensure smooth transition.

1️⃣3️⃣ What is 1Cliq doing right now?
We are:
► Setting up hosting integrations (Option 2) where possible
► Providing static IP infrastructure (Option 1) where required
► Coordinating closely with brokers for compliance

⚠️ Important Note
► The final broker list and their respective models (Static IP / Hosting) will be confirmed and updated in the next couple of days, once all testing is completed.
► Until then, we request you to kindly wait for the final confirmation.
► We completely understand that this situation is challenging for everyone.
► Our team is working 16+ hours daily to make sure everything is up and running smoothly
► Our goal is to ensure uninterrupted trading experience for all users
